Why Practice with a Virtual GDS Simulator?

Working on a live Global Distribution System can be intimidating. Mistakes made on a production terminal can lead to real-world consequences, including unwanted seat deductions, invalid ticketing formats, or costly Agency Debit Memos (ADMs). Our simulator acts as a safe sandbox. It allows you to build muscle memory, test complex booking scenarios, book round trips, enter APIS passport data (SRDOCS), review dynamic fares (FXP), use Best Buy logic (FXB), review the authentic FA PAX lines, and issue or refund virtual tickets (TTP / TRF) without any financial risk.

This tool is uniquely designed to mimic the strict numbering conventions of real systems, teaching agents how to handle segments, correctly cancel lines using XE, and manage complex pricing changes, preparing them perfectly for real-world travel agency environments.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the "FA PAX" line?

In standard GDS systems, once a ticket is issued using TTP, the system automatically generates a ticketing element that is attached to the PNR. This appears as FA PAX followed by the 13-digit E-Ticket number and the passenger association (e.g., /P1). Our simulator perfectly replicates this behavior, providing a crucial visual cue that ticketing was successful.

Does the PNR Auto-Sort and can I cancel specific lines?

Yes! When you End & Retrieve (ER) or use the Ignore & Retrieve (IR) command, the system will automatically sequence and number your PNR based on standard airline hierarchy. Names are given a decimal format like 1.1, 2.1, while Segments, Contacts, Ticketing elements, Forms of Payment, SSRs, and FA PAX lines take standard integers (2, 3, 4...). You must use XE followed by the exact line number on the screen to cancel it. For example, to delete a name, type XE1.1, and to delete a phone number on line 3, type XE3.

How do the Export/Import buttons work?

Because this simulator is 100% private and uses no cloud databases, your saved PNRs and Live Inventory live inside your browser's local cache. The Export Data button (which appears after you save your first PNR) downloads a secure .txt file containing all your training records. You can use the Import Data button later to upload that .txt file and instantly restore all your saved PNRs, allowing you to pick up your training exactly where you left off!

What happens if I try to delete an issued ticket?

Our simulator correctly prevents the deletion of issued tickets (FA PAX lines) using the standard XE command. Once a ticket is generated, it must be handled via the proper refund process. Use the TRF command to initiate a refund, which will update the FA PAX status to 'RFND'.
